PHAROS

Terms of Use

These terms describe what Pharos does, how it may be used, and what you agree to when you use the service.

The service

Pharos is a managed maritime-intelligence service. It ingests the position and security notifications you forward from your existing tracking services and returns a daily, plain-language risk brief on your vessels, together with supporting tools such as a live fleet map, sanctions and regulatory-zone screening, anomaly detection and executive question-and-answer.

Informational use — not for navigation or safety of life

Pharos is a decision-support and informational tool. It augments, and does not replace, official maritime safety and security sources, navigational systems, or your own professional judgment. Do not rely on Pharos for navigation, distress, or safety-of-life decisions. Risk ratings and briefs are provided on a best-efforts basis and may be incomplete or contain errors.

Your responsibilities

The pilot

The free pilot is provided as-is, with no commitment on either side; either party may end it at any time.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pharos is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions made in reliance on the service.

Intellectual property

The Pharos software, brand and content are owned by Pharos. Your data remains yours; using the service does not transfer ownership of it to us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date below shows the current version.
